Anyone who regularly books flights through third-party providers knows the problem: a website initially advertises particularly low prices, but then the surprise comes when you pay: after entering your credit card details, the ticket is suddenly €30 more expensive.
The German Civil Code writes (§ 312a Abs. 4) actually suggests that consumers always have at least one common and reasonable Payment option must be offered at no extra charge. And in the case of payment fees, these may at best cover the costs of the payment, not a cent more.
The consumer center has the days thereuponthat payment fees of the portals fluege.de, flug.de, Billigfluege.de and airline-direct.de are ineffective. Affected customers are now being sought for a desired model declaratory action. The aim is to refund the fees to consumers.
Online form for affected customers
If you have booked a flight on fluege.de (and the other portals mentioned above) in recent years, you can support the Federal Association of Consumer Advice Centers in their lawsuit. Ideally, you will then get a refund of unlawfully charged surcharges.

Booking confirmation, invoice or similar documents are required for this. It is also important for the lawsuit that your booking confirmation or invoice mentions a service fee.
