In line with the PCIe 5.0 standard officially supported by the 13th generation Intel processor and AMD Ryzen 7000 series, a consumer SSD officially compatible with PCIe 5.0 has recently been released.
The news is that the ‘PG5NFZ PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe’ model from CFD Gaming, a Japanese solid-state drive manufacturer, has a DDR4 DRAM cache based on Micron’s 3D TLC NAND, providing continuous read speeds of up to 10GB/s and write speeds of up to 9.5GB/s. It has a product warranty of 3 years.
Among consumer SSDs, PCIe 5.0-based products are the first to be released, so various manufacturers such as Seagate and Corsair are expected to introduce consumer products that support PCIe 5.0.
The price is 385$ (about 470,000 won) based on the 2TB model.
