The case continues to make people talk. Last Saturday, before the meeting between AC Ajaccio and OM in François-Coty, Kenzo, an 8-year-old child suffering from cancer, and his family were attacked by Corsican supporters, furious to see the latter wearing a Marseille jersey in the lodges. If the ACA and its president, Alain Orsoni, initially decided to join in the declarations of support for Kenzo and his family, the latest press release from the Corsican club now calls into question the version of the victim’s family. “It would seem, alas, that the information communicated immediately after the facts only very partially conforms to reality”specifies the club before continuing.
“At the beginning, I had no reason to doubt the veracity of the declarations of the parents of little Kenzo, because it seemed to me impossible that they could have wanted to exploit their sick little boy for the purposes of Bad Buzz. This is why, anxious to preserve the interests of my club and sincerely revolted, I associated myself with the demonstrations of support vis-à-vis this family and firmly condemned the facts as they had been exposed. From now on, the objective elements of the investigation, and in particular the content of the video-surveillance recording, reveal that the truth is quite different and that the seriousness of the actions of certain Ajaccio supporters, moreover reprehensible, were very clearly exaggerated. The club therefore reserves the right to assert its rights against all persons likely to have been the source of this erroneous information and those who complacently relayed it..
