Corona crisis: Italy’s anger at Germany

EA new survey in Italy showed that 49 percent of Italians would currently vote to leave the EU. The result marks a new low point in sentiment that has spread in Italy towards the EU and especially Germany in recent weeks. The Italians feel left alone in the crisis. The indirect rejection of the euro bonds deeply disappointed them. “Many Italians have the feeling that the EU, and Germany in particular, is acting in a non-solidarity in this difficult crisis that Italy is going through,” says political professor Giovanni Orsina from the LUISS University in Rome WELT.
