Under the new US President Joe Biden, the vaccination campaign in the country has accelerated enormously. Almost every third person has now received the required corona vaccination doses.

The US vaccination campaign in the corona pandemic has reached another important mark. “Today 100 million Americans are fully vaccinated,” said White House Corona coordinator Jeff Zients on Friday.

Zients emphasized that this does not mean that all 100 million who have received the necessary vaccinations already have full vaccination protection. According to official information, this is only achieved two weeks after the last required vaccination.

Around 330 million people live in the USA – almost every third person in the population has received the required corona vaccination doses. Three vaccines are currently available in the United States. The active ingredients from Moderna and Pfizer / Biontech are administered in two doses each. In the case of Johnson & Johnson, one syringe is enough. Immunologist Antony Fauci emphasized the importance of getting both doses in the case of Moderna and Pfizer / Biontech in order to be protected as best as possible.
