Corona warning app: first details known – CHIP

With “Next Steps” for Android and iOS, you can clearly see how tracing apps work and how they should look in the end. The demo app uses your smartphone’s Bluetooth connection to record and save nearby contacts. For this, various authorizations are required, which the app explains to you in an obvious manner. If tracing is activated, you can report a corona disease or view incoming messages in the app.

The app can be installed as an APK on Android smartphones and installed on the iPhone or iPad using the test flight program. However, the app is actually only intended as a demo and not for actual everyday use.

The app is open source, all code for the project is available on GitHub. The demo app should not only be a possibility for users, but also for developers to see how the concept can be successfully implemented.
