Dakar, Dec 5 (APS) – The Ministry of Health and Social Action on Sunday identified 11 new infections out of a total of 1943 tests carried out, i.e. a positivity rate of 0.56%.
The daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health and Social Action indicates that among these new infections, three (3) are contact cases, followed by its services.
He specifies that the eight (8) others are from community transmission, including three (3) in the department of Dakar and two (2) in Keur Massar (suburb). The three (3) others are registered in the departments of Mbour (one), Kaolack (one) and Oussouye (one).
The Covid-19 bulletin notes that two patients followed were tested negative and declared cured, against a serious case taken care of in the intensive care units.
He adds that no deaths were recorded this Saturday and the condition of the other hospitalized patients is stable.
According to the Ministry of Health and Social Action, to date, 74,024 cases of Covid-19 have been declared positive, including 72,103 cured, 1,886 dead and 34 under treatment.
In Senegal, 1,328,633 people have been vaccinated against the disease.
