Between February 20 and 26, 2,394.4 new contaminations were detected on average per day, up 12% from the previous week.
Since the start of the pandemic in Belgium, 772,294 cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed.

Over the same period, 22.7 people died on average per day from the virus (-36%), bringing the toll to 22,106 deaths since the start of the pandemic in Belgium.

In the meantime, 495,090 people have received a first injection of the vaccine, which is equivalent to 5.4% of the total population. A second dose was administered to 307,749 people, or 3.3% of the population.
