Coronavirus in Colombia: infections and deaths today, August 5 – Health

According to the report of the Ministry of Health of this Thursday, August 5, 6,540 were reported in Colombia new cases of covid-19 in the last hours. This, after 67,815 tests were processed (33,415 of PCR and 34,400 of antigens).

Thus, the country reached 4,821,603 cases of covid- 19 confirmed since the pandemic began in March 2020.

In the last 24 hours, in addition, 9,315 recovered patients were reported. In this way, there are already 4,624,669 Colombians who, to date, have overcome covid-19 in the country.

In total they are 61,156 cases that remain active In colombia.

This Thursday no deaths were reported in seven departments: Choco, Amazonas, San Andrés, Guaviare, Vichada, Guainía and Vaupés. What’s more no cases of contagion were recorded in Amazon.

At the national level Bogotá has the highest number of infections, with a historical record of 1,422,489, followed by Antioquia with 719,510, Valle del Cauca 388,710, Cundinamarca 258,672, Atlántico 309,357 and Santander with 220,381.
