The epidemic of the new coronavirus in Italy: the Civil Protection bulletin of Monday 1 June 2020. There have been 60 deaths from Coronavirus in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data provided by the Civil Protection. Thus the total death toll rises to 33,475. The number of people recovered since the beginning of the emergency is 158,355, with an increase of 848 in the last 24 hours, while the currently positive cases drop by 708 compared to yesterday and are 41,367.

In home isolation 34,844 (-409) people. There are 6,099 inpatients with symptoms (-288), 424 patients in intensive care (-11). Total cases since the beginning of the emergency are 233,197, an increase of 178 compared to yesterday. In all, 3,910,133 swabs were performed, the cases tested are 2,451,674.

Six regions with zero infections and only 5 regions that count from 10 positive cases upwards. In particular, Marche, Sicily, Umbria, Calabria, Molise and Basilicata count zero infections while only 10 (+56), Lombardy (+50), Piedmont (+21), Emilia record the 10 new cases higher than yesterday Romagna (+19) and Lazio (+10).

In Lombardy there are 50 new cases of Covid-19 and 19 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, for a total of 16,131 victims (yesterday there were 33). The number of new positives – underlines the Lombardy Region – is to be put in relation to 3,572 swabs, that is about 1.4% of the total tests processed today, down on the last few weeks. The index drops but slightly compared to 1.7% yesterday. The currently positive, among people in isolation and hospitalizations, according to the latest bulletin of the Region, drop to 20,861 total cases, 135 less than yesterday. From the beginning of the pandemic to the present day, the positives are 89,018. The healed 52,026, with 166 discharged from yesterday. Slight drop in ICU patients, 3 fewer than yesterday, for a total of 167 jobs occupied. Inpatients for the virus in the other wards, and therefore less serious, are 3,085, down by 46 units. In detail, there are 8 new cases of Covid-19 detected in Milan city, across the province 18. In Lodi and Mantua there are zero compared to yesterday. In Bergamo and Brescia there are 8 and 6 new cases respectively. Among the other provinces, even less are those of Como (+1), Cremona (+2), Lecco (+2), Pavia (+1), Sondrio (+1 ) and Varese (+3). Also in Monza there are only 3 more.

There are 2,894 cases that are currently positive in Covid-19 in the Region Lazio. Of these, 2,244 are in home isolation, 594 are hospitalized not in intensive care, 56 in intensive care. 739 patients died and 4,105 people recovered. This is the updated bulletin of the Lazio Region. In total 7,738 cases were examined.

In Tuscany there are 10,107 cases of coronavirus positivity, 3 more than yesterday. The new cases are 0.03% more than the total of the previous day. The healed grow by 0.3% and reach 7,977 (78.9% of the total cases). The tests performed reached 253,845, 1,755 more than yesterday, those analyzed today are 2,049. The currently positive are 1,082 today, -2.6% compared to yesterday. There are 7 new deaths: 3 men and 4 women, with an average age of 80.4 years. These are the figures – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the trend of the epidemic in the region. Below are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday; these refer not to the province of residence but to that in which the diagnosis was made. There are 3,468 total cases to date in Florence (1 more than yesterday), 564 in Prato, 675 in Pistoia, 1,049 in Massa Carrara, 1,362 in Lucca (1 more), 893 in Pisa, 556 in Livorno, 677 in Arezzo (1 more), 438 in Siena, 425 in Grosseto. The extra cases therefore today are: 1 more cases in the ASL Centro, 1 in the North West, 1 in the South East. Tuscany confirms its 10th place in Italy as number of cases, with about 271 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average around 386 x100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces of notification with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 538 cases x100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 351, Florence with 343, the lowest Siena with 164.

Coronavirus, the infected by province

A coronavirus related death in Campania yesterday, Sunday 31 May. The total number of deaths since the beginning of the Covid-19 emergency in Campania is 413. 3,454 healed (+44 compared to Saturday 30 May), of which 3,382 (+47) totally healed and 72 (-3) clinically healed . This is the distribution by province of the 4,806 cases registered in Campania since the emergency began, according to what was communicated by the Crisis Unit of the Campania Region: in the province of Naples 2,616 (+3), of which 1,001 (+1) in Naples city and 1,615 (+2) in the rest of the province; in the province of Salerno 685 (no new cases); in the province of Avellino 547 (no new cases); in the province of Caserta 460 (no new cases); in the province of Benevento 208 (no new cases). 289 other cases are being verified by the local health authorities.

No deaths in the night Veneto because of the coronavirus. The Veneto Region stresses this in the daily bulletin. There are only 6 Covid positives in the region, 19 currently hospitalized in intensive care. Among the good news announced today by the governor of Veneto Luca Zaia also that of Maria Anna, a 100-year-old from Vicenza, hospitalized in a retirement home that was judged cured by the covid.

Coronavirus positive people in Friuli Venezia Giulia (equivalent to the sum of hospitalized, clinically healed and home isolations) are 330, 22 less than yesterday. In intensive care, 2 patients are hospitalized, while 40 other patients remain in hospital. There are 2 new deaths (335 in total). This was communicated by the deputy governor with responsibility for Health and Civil Protection, Riccardo Riccardi. Analyzing the overall data, since the beginning of the epidemic there have been 3,274 people tested positive for the virus (one more than yesterday): 1,388 in Trieste, 984 in Udine, 688 in Pordenone and 214 in Gorizia. The totally healed instead amounted to 2,609 (21 more than yesterday), the clinically healed to 64 and the people in home isolation are 224. The dead are 189 in Trieste, 73 in Udine, 68 in Pordenone and 5 in Gorizia.

Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, in EmiliaRomagna27,809 cases of positivity were recorded, 19 more than yesterday: of these new cases, 17 are asymptomatic, the result of the regional screening activity. The tampons carried out are 3,876, thus reaching a total of 329,358. There are 10 new deaths: 7 women and 3 men. Overall, in Emilia-Romagna, they reached 4,124. Of the new cases registered today, the 7 deaths in the province of Bologna refer not only to yesterday but to the last week, cases for which the outcome with respect to the cause of death was expected by Covid-19. The other 3 concern 2 residents in the province of Piacenza and 1 in the province of Rimini. No deaths in all the other six provinces. There are 104 new healings, for a total of 20,617: over 74% of the total number of infections since the beginning of the epidemic. Active cases continue to decline, namely the number of actual patients, which have now fallen to 3,068 (- 95 since yesterday). People in isolation at home, that is, those with mild symptoms, who do not require hospital treatment, or are symptom-free, total 2,631 (about 86% of those sick), -82 compared to yesterday. ICU patients are 54 (-3). Those hospitalized in the other Covid wards also decreased, falling to 383 (-10). The total number of people recovered therefore rises to 20,617 (+104): 839 “clinically healed”, that is, they have become asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 19,778 those declared healed in all respects because they were negative in two consecutive tests. These are the cases of positivity in the area, which instead refer not to the province of residence, but to that in which the diagnosis was made: 4,489 in Piacenza (+2), 3,525 in Parma (+4), 4,950 in Reggio Emilia ( +2), 3917 in Modena (+1), 4635 in Bologna (+8); 394 positivity recorded in Imola (no more cases), 994 in Ferrara (+ 1). In Romagna, the positive cases reached 4,905 (+1), of which 1028 in Ravenna (no more cases), 943 in Forlì (no more cases), 780 in Cesena (+1), 2,154 in Rimini (none extra case).

The deceased persons are indicated in the province of origin and not in that in which the death occurred. “The” subjects in voluntary quarantine – concludes the bulletin – are 8,717 distributed as follows: Cosenza: 1,320, Crotone: 2,988, Catanzaro, 903, Vibo Valentia: 284, Reggio Calabria: 1,222.

The same number of new positive cases compared to yesterday: 4. And fewer deaths, 2, while yesterday were 4. The President of the Region announced in the daily epidemiological bulletin on Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Puglia, Michele Emiliano, based on information from the director of the Health Promotion Department Vito Montanaro. Today’s 4 infected, out of 998 tests (many more yesterday, 1860), 3 were found in the province of Bari and 1 in the province of Foggia. No cases registered in the other 4 provinces: Bat, Brindisi, Lecce and Taranto, also yesterday free from new infections. The two deaths occurred 1 in the province of Bari and 1 in the province of Foggia. There have been 506 deaths so far. 119,650 tests have been conducted since the beginning of the emergency. 2,837 patients recovered (+24 compared to yesterday) and 1,155 currently positive cases (-22). The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 4,498 divided as follows: 1,486 in the province of Bari; 380 in the province of Bat; 651 in the province of Brindisi; 1,156 in the province of Foggia; 515 in the province of Lecce; 281 in the province of Taranto; 29 attributed to residents outside the region. The ASL Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, aimed at tracing close contacts.

44 people are currently positive in Umbria where, since the beginning of the emergency, 1,431 have been infected. 1311 have been healed while the number of dead remains unchanged, 76. According to data updated at 8 this morning, 17 are hospitalized, 2 of them in intensive care. Overall 70,741 swabs were made. As regards the trend for the month of May, the positive cases went from 1,393 on May 1 to 1431 on May 31 (+38); the currently positive ones from 272 to 44 (-228). The healed grew from 1053 to 1 May to 1311 (+258); total hospitalizations fell from 73 on 1 May to 17 on 31 May (-56); deaths in the month under consideration increased by 8 people (from 68 on 1 May to 76). In May 32,979 swabs were made, increasing the number from 37,762 to 70,741.

No new contagion in Sicily, 19 healed and zero deaths. This is the summary of the situation on the island, updated at 3 pm today, regarding the Coronavirus emergency, as communicated by the Sicilian Region to the National Crisis Unit. Since the beginning of the checks, 151,186 swabs were carried out (+1,132 compared to yesterday), out of 129,103 people: 3,443 (0) were positive, while 967 (-19) are still infected, 2,202 have healed (+ 19) and 274 died (0). Of the current 967 positives, 73 patients (+1) are hospitalized – including 8 in intensive care (+1) – while 894 (-20) are in home isolation. The next regional update will take place tomorrow. The presidency of the Sicilian Region communicates this.

Zero positives. It is the data recorded at 9 o’clock today in the Marche and communicated by Gores. In the last 24 hours 360 swabs were made: 231 of the diagnosis path and 129 of the path healed.

There are 2875 coronavirus positives in total to date in Liguria, 52 less than yesterday’s data from the daily bulletin issued by the Ligurian emergency health task force. In total the tests performed to date on the population are 107,787, of which 1424 in the last 24 hours. The hospitalized are still 198, 5 less than yesterday, of which 7 still hospitalized in intensive care. There are 413 people in home isolation, 53 fewer than yesterday, there are 2264 clinically healed (asymptomatic positive and at home) while 5377 recovered with double consecutive negative test, 106 more than yesterday. it was 1465, 2 in the last 24 hours.
