Dakar, Nov 22 (APS) – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Social Action, Dr Mamadou Ndiaye, reported on Sunday 17 positive cases for the coronavirus out of 891 tests carried out, for a positivity rate of 1 , 74%.
These are 7 contacts followed and 10 cases from community transmission, he said during the daily update on the evolution of the disease in Senegal.
Also, according to him, 23 patients have tested negative and declared cured while 3 serious cases are being taken care of in the intensive care units.
No new deaths linked to Covid-19 have been recorded, underlines the director of prevention at the Ministry of Health and Social Action.
To date, Senegal has 15,882 positive cases including 15,488 cured, 330 deaths and 63 still under treatment.
