Covid-19 in France: 53 new deaths, 2,276 patients in critical care

According to Public Health France, this Sunday, 11,092 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized, against 11,052 the day before and 10,651 last Sunday. The number of new hospitalizations recorded (which does not take into account returns home) has risen to 311 in the last 24 hours, against 465 Saturday Friday and 542 last Sunday.

In critical care departments (continuous monitoring, intensive care and resuscitation), 2,276 patients are hospitalized due to coronavirus infection. There were 2,259 on Saturday and 2,128 last Sunday. 71 new patients have been admitted there in the last 24 hours, against 194 Friday and 103 last Sunday, over the same period. In the last 24 hours, 53 deaths have been recorded, against 75 on Saturday and 95 on Friday.

Public Health France has identified 13,630 new positive cases in the last 24 hours against 17,300 last Sunday.

The data for the weekend should however be taken with caution, because of possible catch-ups due to the feedback.

64.6% of French people fully vaccinated

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 48,390,138 people have received at least one injection, or 71.8% of the total population. 43,584,130 people now have a complete vaccination schedule, or 64.6% of the total population, the Directorate General of Health indicated on Sunday evening.
