Vaccination against the coronavirus will soon begin in the Brest conurbation.
The Brest-Carhaix CHRU is one of the two pilot sites in Brittany, along with the Rennes University Hospital. Initially, three North Finistère nursing homes (nursing homes for dependent elderly people) will be concerned. Their name has not been released. The vaccination will begin in a first retirement home from Monday January 4, 2021. It will continue in the other two from Wednesday January 6.
For now, only residents will be vaccinated. By next week, all must have benefited from a medical consultation and have given their consent (directly or through their guardianship).
Tuesday, December 22, the Brest CHRU received the freezer which will keep the Pfizer vaccines at a temperature of minus 80 ° C. The location has not been disclosed for security reasons.
