Covid in Colombia: dead, recovered and infected as of January 7, 2022 | Government | Economy

Cases of contagion diaries of covid-19 in Colombia continue to increase and this Friday, January 7, they reported 26,190 new, after processing 122,242 tests (50,247 for PCR and 71,995 for antigens).

With these positives, the country reached a historical balance of 5,268,862 infections in one year and 10 months, and a total of 30’199.691 samples analyzed.

As of this Friday, 5’016,760 people have recovered from the contagion and 103,059 continue with the active virus.

Bogotá (1,505,699), Antioquia (821,700), Valle del Cauca (459,230), Atlántico (348,731) and Cundinamarca (271,309), the areas of the country with the most historical cases.

Worldwide, there are more than 301,988,217 infections.

As to deaths, they reported 59 new in the country and 49 of them occurred on days other than this January 7.

The accumulated number of deaths left by the pandemic in the country is 130,250, while in the world there have been 5,477,779 deaths.

As of January 5, 69,949,800 doses of covid vaccines have been distributed in the country, of which 65,563,271 have been applied. What’s more, the number of people with a complete vaccination scheme is 28,741,288 and the reinforcements applied, 3,612,619.
