announced GizaCut off water to the areas of Usim, Suqil, Bartus, Saida, Al-Qiratine, Al-Kom Al-Ahmar, Al-Zaydiya, Shinbari, Nahia, Kerdasa, Saft Al-Laban, and Zawiyat Nabit, for a period of 12 hours, starting from 5 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, corresponding to 12/2/2022 until 5 a.m. on Saturday, 3/12/2022 .
The governorate attributed the reason for the cut to the fact that the Executive Agency for Drinking Water and Sanitation connected the new 1000 mm diameter Osim water station line to the existing 900 mm diameter water line. This is to start operating the Osim water station to improve the quality of service provided to citizens.
The governorate indicated that the interruption of service will lead to a weakening of water in the villages north of Giza, “Bahrmus, Al-Manashy, Al-Jalatmeh, That Al-Kom.”
Major General Ahmed Rashid, the governor of Giza, instructed the head of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company to abide by the deadlines set for the works to re-pump water in its natural form to the affected areas, while providing water vehicles to the areas to be cut off during the works period.
The governor also instructed the heads of the centers and cities of Usim, Kerdasa, and Manshaat Al-Qanater to follow up on the field and coordinate with the concerned authorities to quickly finish the work on the specified dates and remove any obstacles. .
And Giza Governorate indicated that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company will provide cars loaded with clean, potable water to move in the affected places, and for emergencies, call the hotline 125 to meet their needs immediately.
