Czech singer Hana Horka, member of the folk group Asonance, died of complications from Covid-19 on Sunday January 16.
According to the confessions of her son, the 57-year-old artist would have deliberately contracted the virus in order to obtain her health pass, which conditions access to cultural and sports venues as well as bars and restaurants in this country of Eastern Europe.
The singer’s son and husband, both vaccinated, had contracted the virus shortly before Christmas. Instead of isolating herself and maintaining barrier gestures, Hana Horka would thus have voluntarily exposed herself to the disease, spending most of her time with her family.
“She decided to live normally with us and preferred to catch the disease rather than get vaccinated”, said the son of the Czech star on a local radio.
The singer therefore also quickly contracted the disease, at first without too many complications. Hana Horka had also written a reassuring message on her Facebook page: “I survived…it was colorful. So now there’s going to be theatre, sauna, concert, sauna…and an urgent trip to the sea.”
“Blood on the Hands”
But in mid-January, his condition began to deteriorate. When returning from a walk, she seemed weaker than usual, her son said again. “She told dad she had a bad back, so we rubbed her down and she went to bed for a while. Apparently she died within ten minutes.”
Very moved, the singer’s son accused the antivax leaders of having “blood on their hands” and of being responsible for the death of his mother. “I know exactly who formed her opinion (…) I’m sad that she believed strangers more than her own family. It was not just total misinformation but also opinions on natural immunity and the antibodies created by catching the disease”, he regretted.
