Evgenii Dadonov will have an important role in the next season.
Martin St-Louis went there with a rather surprising statement during his press briefing on Thursday, in anticipation of the game against the Winnipeg Jets.
“I think he may be the most important player on the power play. He is the one who is connected to everything, especially on puck recoveries. He’s a Dennis Rodman that guy. He has to anticipate to find out where to look for the pucks. These are players who usually understand well how to play in a tight space. Dadonov has that intelligence.”
The Canadiens head coach also plans to downsize his roster very soon.
“There are cuts coming. We have around 70 players and we have to start cutting that a bit.
