MUSIC VICTORIES. For its 36th edition, the Victoires de la Musique ceremony will be held at the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, without an audience. We take stock of everything you need to know about the great France 2 evening.
[Mis à jour le 11 février 2021 à 11h21] Last straight line before the 36th Victoires de la Musique! The traditional ceremony, organized by France 2 and France Inter, will be held this Friday, February 12, 2021, from 9:05 p.m., live from the Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt. Stéphane Bern and Laurie Thilleman will present the evening, when Jean-Louis Aubert will be the honorary president. It should also be noted that a Victory of Honor will be awarded to Jane Birkin for her entire career during the evening.
Given the health situation, the 2021 Victoires de la Musique will take place without an audience. And this, in spite of the attempts at experiments proposed by the organizers to welcome spectators to the Seine Musicale. “We had belatedly launched a request to the prefecture to welcome 1,300 people, not for the Victories themselves, but to help the performing arts, which is looking for solutions (concert-tests) to bring people back to the venues” , explains the general manager of the event, Jean-Yves de Linarès to franceinfo. And to add: “This request was not accepted, it is true that it was made on January 28 for a ceremony on February 12, we are not making a drama of it. We will focus our evening on the live, to support this sector. “
