Following the departure of the United States Ambassador to Morocco David T. Fischer, David Greene becomes Chargé d’affaires this Thursday, January 21, an official statement from the American Embassy announced.
“I am delighted to continue to work closely with the government of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, as we build on recent historic developments to further strengthen the US-Moroccan strategic partnershipGreene said.
Greene arrived in Morocco in 2019 and served as charge d’affaires from August 5, 2019 to January 21, 2020. He also served in Morocco as political advisor to the Embassy from 2011 to 2015. Greene also served previously in Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt and Vietnam.
