Düsseldorf Waiting is the motto of investors on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday. The Dax started 0.2 percent weaker at 15,682 points and then fluctuated between 15,700 and 15,660 points. At noon, the German share index is 0.1 percent in the red at 15,684 points.

The reluctance is typical on a day on which the European Central Bank (ECB) meets – at noon it will announce its key rate decision.

The Dax already took a break on Wednesday and had fallen slightly by 0.3 percent to 15,705 points by the end of trading. And Wall Street also ended its soaring: The Dow Jones lost 0.7 percent on Wednesday to 35,490 points, the Nasdaq technology index hit the spot at 15,235 points.
