Days after her death, a Saudi attends his wife’s graduation ceremony

In a scene of love and loyalty, Muhammad Mutlaq Al-Ashiqer, dean of the Faculty of Law, founder and former academic, tried to hold back his tears while announcing the name of his wife, who had died before her honoring ceremony from the university, but these tears refused to come out as soon as he received her certificate of honor.

He described these moments to Al-Arabiya.net, saying: “The day of honor is a day that my wife and I have long waited for, may God have mercy on her. Her ambition was to complete her master’s studies even though she was employed, and this ambition remained there until she found the university that fulfilled her ambition.” She began studying during the Corona pandemic with all seriousness and diligence, and concluded her studies by discussing her master’s thesis “during her illness”, in which she received everyone’s praise and admiration.

He added, “I was with her at all stages of her studies, and God helped me to support her financially, psychologically and intellectually until she reached this stage.. Then I applied to attend the graduation ceremony shortly before her death. I felt fear after that request and was afraid that she would not be present at the honoring ceremony, which is What really happened. She did not receive her full results before the ceremony, and I told her that she had obtained her master’s degree while she was on her deathbed, and she smiled a smile that warmed my heart.”

And he continued, “God destined her to leave a few days before the graduation ceremony, and I wished that she would be present and witness her achievement herself, and this matter still squeezes my heart.”

He said: “I came because I used to call her Anna, because for me she was me, because I find that even if I moved from this world, she is still in my heart and I feel her presence around me.”

He continued, “Despite the physical fatigue and psychological pain at the time, I felt the necessity of my presence, as if there was something internally pushing me strongly. She deserves that honor and deserves my presence. She is an example of honor, appreciation, love and respect.”

He pointed out that he graduated from 3 universities, “and I did not attend a single ceremony after my graduation, and her honoring ceremony is the first honoring ceremony that I attended, because her honoring and graduation ceremony was everything to me.”
