Mustafa Bakri, a member of the Egyptian Parliament, announced the death, as he wrote on Twitter: “The death of the great journalist, Mufid Fawzy, after a journey of suffering with illness, as he spent nearly a month in a private hospital. May God have mercy on the dear deceased and inspire his family patience and solace.”
It is noteworthy that Fawzi was suffering from a health problem during the past few days, which led to his transfer to an engineering hospital, where he was suffering from severe fatigue, as a result of which he entered intensive care.
Likewise, the late journalist suffered a fracture in the joint in the right arm, several months ago, and he was receiving treatment at his home, and he was being cared for by his daughter, journalist Hanan Moufid Fawzi.
