Jean-Claude Hérault, former deputy general manager of the Tour de France, died at the age of 78 as a result of the Covid-19. Jean-Claude Hérault was one of the precursors for cycling on the African continent. He had resumed with ASO the Tour du Faso in 2001, then created with the former professional Philippe Crépel the Tropical Amissa Bongo in Gabon. He also launched the International Peace Tour in Côte d’Ivoire. Recently, he got involved in the organization of the Tour of Rwanda.
