The elected Adam Schiff is responsible for supervising the team of prosecutors at trial for the removal of
Donald Trump before the United States Senate, the leader of the Democrats in Congress, Nancy Pelosi, announced on Wednesday.

Adam Schiff, a former federal prosecutor in California, had led the parliamentary investigation into the House of Representatives, controlled by the Democrats, which held in December the counts of abuse of power and obstructing the smooth running of the Congress against the American president.

Donald Trump is accused of having used his office to pressure Ukraine to have Kiev investigate Democrat Joe Biden, his potential opponent in the November presidential election.
