“Dengue fever: transmission in the territory is increasing in 2022”. The chronicle of Anaïs Maréchal

As the last tiger mosquitoes bow out, Public Health France (SPF) publishes its annual report chikungunya, dengue and Zika. Imported by travelers returning from epidemic hotspots (most often Cuba and India in 2022), these viruses then spread through tiger mosquito bites. This year, nine outbreaks of dengue were recorded in mainland France, causing 65 indigenous cases. These figures are very low compared to the global situation (100 to 400 million infections each year), but unpublished in continental Europe.
