Now the last game of the first round of the 2022/23 cup is rising.
Tonight, third division club Viktoria Köln welcomes German champions Bayern Munich. The reason for the approximately one month later appointment is the super cup, which was scheduled parallel to the first cup weekend. The last first round game on Wednesday is now live on free TV. Franz Wunderlich, Director of Sport Viktoria Köln, said about the cup draw: “We can’t stop celebrating.”
For Bayern, it’s about making amends. After all, Julian Nagelsmann’s team lost 5-0 at Borussia Mönchengladbach last season – and that too in the second round.
