Disassembly: a lot of emptiness inside the Mac mini M1

It was not long before we saw the first dismantling of the Mac mini M1. It’s the Brandon Geekabit YouTube channel that stuck to it and it’s obviously very interesting to know how Apple has arranged the interior of the small computer with its new chip. The procedure for removing the plate from the bottom of the housing is almost the same than on the previous generation (you have to unscrew a plate).

And as expected, Apple has left a lot of leeway to reduce the size of future Mac mini (and why not an Apple TV design?). The motherboard, heatsink and I / O ports take up about a third of the internal space, plus the fan and the power supply of course. But all this does not fill a Mac mini!
