The 19/20 takes you to discover the most beautiful villages in France. Direction Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, an authentic Provencal village.

It is at the end of an emerald blue path, as if traced in the middle of the rocks. It is a Provencal village of character which dominates the gorges with pride. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, pearl of the Verdon, is an architectural jewel of Provence and certainly one of the most beautiful villages in France. But Moustiers has to be earned. And to be convinced of this, you have to walk up steep paths. Tourists come there every year without ever getting bored.

700 inhabitants live year round in this postcard setting. Among them are several emblematic families. In a must-see butcher’s shop in the city center, there is Baptiste Bondil, 26 years old. He works with his wife in this business founded by his great-great-grandfather more than 130 years ago. This family business has spanned five generations. All left to study, and all returned to Moustiers. Clinging to their rocks, the inhabitants cultivate their traditions with pride. The local earthenware is recognized around the world.
