After the strong rebound of almost 104 pesos on Monday in the price of the dollar, motivated by strong expectations of a significant rise in interest rates by the United States Federal Reserve and by the proximity of the second round of the elections to the Presidency of the Republic, this Tuesday the currency goes back again.
According to the real-time information system of the Banco de la República, the market opened with a marked downward trend on the morning of this Tuesday, June 14, and in the first 20 minutes of operations the average rate stood at 3,953, 41 pesos.
This implied that, at the start of the negotiations, the price of the dollar registered this Tuesday a reduction of 63.09 pesos compared to the official price of the day, which is 4,016.5 pesos.
The opening rate was 3,969.99 pesos, and in those first 20 minutes, 20.55 million dollars were traded.
However, around 11:12 in the morning this rate of reduction was reversed and the currency marked an average of 3,981.68 pesos, for a decline of 34.82 pesos, significantly moderating the trend it marked at the start.
At that time, 910 million dollars had already been negotiated.
