Luka Doncic led the Dallas Mavericks in the North American professional basketball league NBA to their third win in their seventh game with his first triple double of the season. The 21-year-old Slovene recorded 33 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists in the 113: 100 win at the Houston Rockets on Monday evening (local time). All three values were also season bests for Doncic. The German national player Maximilian Kleber was in the starting line-up of the Mavericks and came up with nine rebounds and three assists, but remained without a point in just one attempt.
Like Kleber, Daniel Theis had a pale day on the offensive at the Boston Celtics. The center scored two points and three rebounds in the 126: 114 victory at the Toronto Raptors and was only a starter for 14 minutes, while his teammate Jayson Tatum shone with 40 points.
The best team of the young NBA season remains the Philadelphia 76ers, who achieved their sixth win in their seventh game with a 118: 101 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
Corona rules tightened
Meanwhile, the league tightened its rules on wearing mouth and nose protection during games. Accordingly, the professionals of the matchday squad should wear the masks at the beginning of each half until they come into play. Inactive players and coaches should always wear mouth and nose protection beforehand. In addition, all players should share the names of personal trainers, therapists, chiropractors and other specialists with whom they work outside of the team’s premises.
The announcement came on Monday, the same day that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has to be quarantined for a week following the league’s anti-corona rules and will miss four games. Durant, who was infected with the corona virus in May 2020, is considered the contact person of a person who tested positive, reported several American media with reference to an anonymous source.
