Drake’s brand OVO releases NFL-licensed apparel collection

With the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles just two weeks away, anything to do with the NFL is sure to be a hit, especially when it comes to apparel that fans can show off in their favorite team’s colors and crests. And if the apparel brand is endorsed by a celebrity, even better.

Drake and his OVO brand partner with the NFL

Drakeone of the most successful singers of the last decade, has his own clothing line brand, called OVO (October’s Very Own)and in a partnership with the NFL announced that on Friday, February 3, he will be releasing an entire line inspired by the league’s teams.

On its social media accounts, OVO announced its new collection, which in several designs features rapper Lil Wayne as a model, which will surely catch the attention of fans.

In some of the images posted on OVO’s Instagram account, Wayne is shown sporting, of course, Green Bay Packers models.

Fans react to Drake’s clothing line

After the news broke, fans and the NFL world were quick to react. Ben Axelroddigital editor of WKYC and Cleveland Browns fan, commented, “You’re probably wondering ‘who is this for,’ and I’m sorry to inform you that the answer is me.”

Another editor, Greg Williams of Game On Wisconsin, wrote, “This is either going to be a complete flameout or complete garbage.”

“Copped,” said another fan who hopes the collection looks good. “Oh that’s fire, the NFL is finally upgrading their apparel. I needed that jacket yesterday,” one more added.

In addition to sweatshirts and jackets, the collaboration between NFL and OVO will also include limited edition T-shirts. The collection will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 3 at OVO stores, NFLShop.com and octobersveryown.com.
