The governor of the Pskov oblast, a Russian border region located near Belarus, announced this Saturday, May 27 on Telegram that a drone attack had damaged an administrative building linked to the operation of oil pipelines.

The facts allegedly occurred near the village of Litvinovo, less than ten kilometers from the border between Russia and Belarus. “At the moment we know that the targeted building was damaged by the drones“, declared the governor, Mikhail Vedernikov, while assuring that no one had been injured and that an operational team was on site to estimate the damage.

While he did not point the finger at Ukraine for this attack carried out by two drones equipped with explosive devices, this incident nevertheless occurs following several other similar explosions perpetrated by drones within Russian borders, and resulting in the destruction of buildings as well as the death of inhabitants of these regions. Ukraine has never publicly acknowledged being behind the explosions, but several Ukrainian officials have welcomed the news.
