Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk players including David Neres flee Ukraine by train to Romania

According to several media sources, the former Ajax player is with several of his Brazilian compatriots from Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Kiev on a train to Romania. Brazilians have appealed to their government over the past few days to get them out of Ukraine as soon as possible. Neres, who left Ajax in January to join Shakhtar Donetsk for a sum believed to be at least 12 million euros, has been staying in a hotel in Kyiv for the past few days as the city is now under attack from the Russians .

The Brazilian television channel Globo published on its site a video representing Maria, the moved wife of a Shakhtar Donetsk player, Marlon. “We’re leaving now,” she said, tears in her eyes. “The embassy informed us that three trains are leaving from here. We are going in a convoy with all the Brazilians to the station. It’s very scary.”
