A new wave of Star Wars is coming. EA (Electronic Arts) and Lucasfilm Games have recently released three “Star Wars” series games, including the new “Star Wars Jedi” series, plus two untitled first-person shooter and strategy games.
All three are developed by Respawn Entertainment, which developed games such as “Apex Legends” and “Titanfall”.
EA has always been full of resources for the “Star Wars” series, and this time is no exception. The first new entry in the Star Wars Jedi franchise continues to be led by Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order director Stig Asmussen.
The second untitled “Star Wars” first-person shooter game, led by Peter Hirschmann, director of “Star Wars: Battlefront” and “Star Wars: The Force Showdown”, has just begun.
The third strategy game was co-developed with Respawn by Bit Reactor, a member of the former XCOM development team; participating members included XCOM: Enemy Unknown Art Director Greg Foertsch.
In the past, based on an exclusive development agreement between EA and Disney for the “Star Wars” series in 2013, EA has launched many of the above-mentioned Star Wars games, but this “exclusive” relationship will be closed in 2021.Disney signs new Star Wars game with Ubisoft, seems to have ended.
