Earth Defense Force 6: Battle against the aliens continues in 2024

The action franchise Earth Defense Force continues in the West! D3Publisher announced today that the latest part, Earth Defense Force 6, will now also be released here.

The Japanese publisher D3Publisher will also publish the latest part of the action series Earth Defense Force in Europe and North America. As announced today in a press release, Earth Defense Force 6 is scheduled to be released in spring 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC (initially via Steam, shortly followingwards also in the Epic Games Store).

The action sequel begins three years following the events of its predecessor in 2027. The survivors continue their rebuilding efforts once morest the Primers, but the threat to the world’s security remains. The Earth Defense Force (EDF) is once once more called upon to protect the planet from aggressive alien invaders.

The new installment will feature a completely new storyline, the return of the Ranger, Air Raider, Wing Diver and Fencer classes, and a whole host of new content. The latter includes hundreds of additional missions and weapons. You are also offered a co-op mode for two players in split screen and an online co-op mode with up to four players.

The franchise, whose games have sold more than 5 million copies worldwide, is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
