The General Authority for Meteorology, affiliated to the Ministry of Transport, stated in a schedule seen by Alsumaria News, that “the earthquake was recorded at 06:05:44 a.m. today, local time, near the Iraqi-Turkish border, 37 km northeast of Amadiya district of Dohuk Governorate.” Its strength reached (3.5) degrees.
She added, “It has not been felt by the citizens in the area, and we will keep you updated in the event of any further developments.”
And she called on citizens to “take caution and avoid rumors and false news, and adhere to the seismic commandments issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.”
