He surprised a fan on the subway
Ed Sheeran surprised a man singing his new hit on the New York subway platform. He offered her tickets for her concert.

Ed Sheeran, which is the subject of a documentary, knows how to make his fans happy. In a video posted Monday, April 10, 2023, on the SubwayCreatures Instagram page, an account that tracks amazing situations on public transport, a certain Mike Yung is seen singing Ed Sheeran’s new hit, “Eyes Closed”, on the platform of the New York subway. It is then that behind him appears the star who in turn begins to hum the song. The man turns around and does not believe his eyes when he discovers his flesh and blood idol in front of him. The two immediately hug each other, before resuming the chorus together.
“Oh wow! You just made my day,” Mike said to Ed, with a huge smile. “I fucking love you,” replied the 32-year-old Briton. And as if the surprise wasn’t big enough, the “Shape of You” singer, who amazed his public in Parisoffered him two tickets for his concert in Brooklyn which was taking place the same evening.
Note that Mike Yung is not completely unknown to the American public. In 2017, he participated in season 12 of the telecrochet “America’s Got Talent” during which he was able to reach the semi-finals. His rendition of Ed Sheeran’s hit “Thinking Out Loud” has been viewed nearly 6 million times on YouTube.
