“Egyptian King” Mohamed Salah is crowned at Madame Tussauds: It’s like I’m looking in the mirror

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Madame Tussauds wax museum in London revealed, on Thursday, the statue of the Egyptian player Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star.

The museum said, through its accounts on social networking platforms: “Fresh from the stadium .. and the red carpet is ready, the King of Egypt has arrived!”, and the museum published pictures of Mohamed Salah next to his wax statue.

The museum, which includes wax statues of celebrities, had published hours ago a video clip with statistics on Mohamed Salah’s goals and the titles he obtained.

The famous museum said, in a statement on its website, that “the Egyptian king has won the crown of Madame Tussauds,” referring to the statue.

The statement added that Salah worked closely with the museum’s team of artists during the preparation of the statue, which required taking hundreds of accurate measurements and photos to ensure the accuracy of the artwork.

And the site quoted Mohamed Salah as saying: β€œIt was an amazing experience to work with the artists in the museum to make my first ever wax statue,” and added, β€œIt is a blessing to be recognized and immortalized in this way.”

He said: “I couldn’t believe when I stood next to my statue, it’s like looking at my reflection in a mirror, I can’t wait to see what the audience thinks.”
