Seven days of free parking in Dubai in conjunction with Eid al-Fitr. Free parking is available from April 30 to May 6. The Road Transport Authority (RTA) has clarified the parking situation. The RTA also said that the parking fee will be levied again from May 7.
The revised working hours of Customer Happiness Centers, Public Buses, Dubai Metro, Trams, Paid Parking Zones, Marine Transit Lines, Service Centers and Technical Inspection Centers operating under the Road Transport Authority are also specified. Public transport systems, including the Dubai Metro, have also announced festive holiday schedules. Parking is not discounted at RTA’s multi-level parking lots.
However, in Sharjah, parking is free for only five days. The holiday in Sharjah is from Eid day to May 5th. However, the city council said parking in Sharjah, which charges a parking fee seven days a week, would not be waived these days. Such parking lots will have blue warning boards.
On the day of the festival, the Dubai Metro will operate from 5 am to 1 pm. The bus service will start from Gold Souk bus station at 5 am and from Al Ghubaibah bus station at 4.14 am.
