20 percent less for Eintracht President Fischer
First the eagerly awaited speech! Then the equally exciting choice!
At the general meeting of Eintracht, President Peter Fischer (66) stood for re-election. For his eighth (!) term since 2000.
More than 800 of the 115,112 members were in Riederwald on Monday evening, 750 of whom were entitled to vote. And of those, the majority voted for Fischer to remain in office.

The exact numbers: 79.83 percent (420 members) voted yes, 20.15 percent (106) voted no. 99 abstained. In 2018, Fischer still got 99 percent yes votes.
At 11:08 p.m., the new old president said, “Thank you to everyone who voted for me. And to those who didn’t vote for me: I’m still your president!”
Afterwards he said: “80 percent is a damn good result, I can live with that very well.”
The evening started with great cheering. When the European Cup was brought indoors.
Then it got serious! Fischer commented on the Marseille scandal. With pyro wars between the fan camps, with hunting scenes in the city.
Fischer: “What we experienced there was like civil war. Of course, there was also misconduct on our part. If Pyro flies out of hand or we see a space storm, those are red lines that must not be crossed.”
The big BUT: Fischer didn’t go into the Hitler salute, which a slob showed and for which Eintracht was punished by Uefa with two games with spectator exclusion or partial exclusion on probation!
Most had expected more from Fischer, who otherwise always shows a clear edge against anti-Semitism and clearly railed against right-wing extremist ideas, especially in this particular case.

Another hot topic: Eintracht plans to add around 40 million euros in equity to Fußball AG by taking over shares in the eV (around 10 percent of the 67.89 percent). (BILD reported). Fischer: “Without additional external capital, we are taking a considerable risk for the future of Fußball AG. But there is still no decision.”
Hellmann and CFO Oliver Frankenbach (55) also campaigned for the increase. But there was headwind! Member Sebastian Braun submitted an emergency motion, which was accepted. Among other things, it is about the fact that the shares of the eV must not fall below 60 percent.
The bosses were taken by surprise. And now they have to reconsider their plans…
