It is presumed that the Mexican drug trafficker has several children, but only four have appeared in the criminal operations of the Sinaloa Cartel: Brothers Guzmán López: Joaquín and Ovidio; and the Guzmán Salazars: Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo. They are also known as ‘Los Chapitos’.

According to the Strategic Intelligence Unit of the US DEA, ‘Nini’ is the security arm of the children of ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán and would be the main actor that has divided the Sinaloa Cartel, now led by Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, also know as ‘El Chapito’ Guzman, with ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

The ‘ninis’, organized by Pérez Salas, have started an internal struggle for the control of the cartel with the ‘Russians’, led by ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

The fight between the two sides began when ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán was in New York, in 2018, when Jesús and Vicente Zambada, brother and son of ‘El Mayo’, testified for the Prosecutor’s Office with the intention of obtaining a benefit from their sentences.

Vicente Zambada not only explained his flight, but also the nature of the business between his father ‘El Mayo’ Zambada and ‘El Chapo’ at the head of the Sinaloa cartel. (Photo: EFE).

THE UNKNOWN ‘NINI’

The sons of ‘El Chapo’ Guzman are known for the photos that have been released, however, no one knows the true face of ‘What’, a safe command of the drug lord, because by not having facial recognition, he can do many misdeeds. Further, the drug trafficker considers him one of the most loyal people.

The narcorrido – so well known in northern Mexico – pay a kind of recognition to the armed wing of the Sinaloa poster.

In these songs they refer to ‘What’ as a humble person who has come from below to take the loyal position he now holds with ‘Los Chapitos’.
