But the close relationship started from last July. When the MLA started misbehaving, he tried to distance himself from the relationship. With this, he came home drunk and started harassing. He was publicly beaten in Kovalam.
There were eyewitnesses to the Kovalam violence. The PA and his friend were with the MLA when he was beaten. Locals who saw it informed the police. When the police came, she said she was his wife and took her to the vehicle. The complainant said that the MLA himself took her to Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital as she was injured in the beating.
