Located in Sigi Regency, Lake Lindu is renowned for its stunning scenery and significant natural resource potential, being part of the Lore Lindu National Park Biosphere Reserve Area.
In alignment with this vision, the Sigi Regency Government has enacted Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2019, which emphasizes the importance of sustainable development. This regulation reflects a commitment to environmental integrity, recognizing that the environment comprises an interconnected space where humans and nature coexist harmoniously.
Celebrating Women and the Environment
This year’s Lindu Lake Festival will place a special emphasis on the critical roles of women in both the community and environmental preservation. Within the To Lindu community tradition, particularly among the Kaili Tado ethnic group, women serve as essential mediators between humanity, nature, and the divine, strengthening community bonds.
The Lindu enclave, spanning 34.88 square kilometers and averaging 38 meters in depth, is situated at approximately 1000 meters above sea level. This area is a treasure trove of biodiversity and cultural heritage, making it one of the most remarkable tourist destinations in Sigi Regency.
