He usually patrols 7 road sections and supervises nearly 100 cleaners. Last year, 2 employees were late at work. According to the “Xiaoxiang Morning News” report, the incident happened on March 11, 2021. Ouyang Zhaoquan found that one of the environmental sanitation cleaners, Hu Jikang, and his father were a little abnormal. No one was seen during work hours at 6:00 in the morning, and it was still at 7:00. No one was seen, and he didn’t answer the phone. He felt that something was wrong. First, he asked a few colleagues and went to check after knowing the address. Unexpectedly, there was no response when he knocked on the door, but there was a clear snoring sound from the window, so he knocked on the window, but there was still no response in the house. Only then did I understand what happened: the family was poisoned by gas, and immediately called the police and found the landlord.
However, the landlord tried a bunch of keys and couldn’t find the right one, so Ouyang Zhaoquan had to contact the locksmith. Since there was no house number in the rental house, in order to help the firefighters find the place smoothly, he went to a big tree that was easy to identify in the distance. Come down, back and forth several times. When the door was opened, the room was filled with thick gas and the stove was still burning. Hu Jikang was woken up, but couldn’t answer the question, and his parents fell into a coma.
Ouyang Zhaoquan followed the ambulance to the hospital and helped the family go through all relevant procedures such as hospitalization. At about 12 noon, Hu Jikang and his father woke up one after another. Although his mother was still asleep, she was out of danger. Afterwards, the family expressed their gratitude, but he was quite low-key and never mentioned it to others until it was on the hot search and became everyone’s hero. In this regard, Ouyang Zhaoquan said that he didn’t think too much about it, and at that time he was eager to know what happened to the family.
Recently, Ouyang Zhaoquan won the honor of being an advanced individual in Hunan Province in 2021. He was quite surprised because he thought he was just doing his share. Now he is still patrolling around on an electric bike as usual, meeting with employees one by one, and taking everyone’s situation in his mind. Without him that morning, the family of three might not be here.
