Studying Medicine is not easy and you know it well. There are many adversities that must be faced even though it is only the beginning of a long road. The most complicated thing is when the training stage is concluded and it is time to enter the labor field. The job search is one of the challenges that everyone must face. For their part, there are some Mexican universities that are usually the favorites of employers when recruiting staff, do you know what they are?
To try to offer an answer to this question, the international firm Symonds watercolors (QS) performs a ranking every year. In the analysis of this 2021, 786 universities from 78 countries participated. The objective is to determine which schools have the graduates most likely to get decent jobs with attractive salaries.
The favorite in Mexico and the rest of Latam
Precisely today the results were announced and the most attractive thing is that a filter can be made by countries. When looking for only universities in Mexico, the one that appears best placed is the Tecnológico de Monterrey. It is ranked 26th in the world in employability of its graduates, which marks an improvement of 14 positions compared to last year.
Based on the above, it is located in the first position in all Latin America and for the sixth consecutive year it is also number one in Mexico. While within the area of Medicine it seems not to be a surprise, especially among graduates who want to study a specialty. During the last years it has also positioned itself among the first places in the scores of the National Examination of Applicants for Medical Residencies (ENARM).
Other quality options
Now, within the ranking of the employers’ favorite schools, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is in second position. Its importance lies in the prestige it has and the constant medical research that is valued worldwide. It is also the house where more health professionals are trained throughout the country.
Other institutions that appear are the Anahuac University, the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). They are generally the employers’ favorite schools for hiring.
On the other hand, it does not mean that graduates of other institutions cannot get a job.
