France announced on Thursday February 17 the withdrawal of Mali from the anti-jihadist military operation Barkhane. After nine years of presence, the French soldiers must leave the country within four to six months to redeploy in particular in Niger. After this announcement, reactions are divided in Mali. If for some this departure of French troops is seen as a good thing, others fear a deterioration in the security situation.
