Entrepreneurs in the zoom: Harald Pühringer wants to create beautiful things with go-getters

Pühringer is a second-generation family business that has always attached great importance to a high level of employee satisfaction among young and old. Employees should feel comfortable at work.

FREE TOWN, REICHENTHAL. The Pühringer joinery works at the Freistadt and Reichenthal locations. In 1981 Ernst Pühringer founded the joinery, followed in 1993 by the second location, the Josko window, door and bedroom studio in Freistadt. Sun protection is also a line of business at the Freistadt location. The company employs a total of 30 people.

Tackle enthusiastically together

“We have been a well-established company and an attractive employer in the region for years,” says Harald Pühringer with conviction. The 49-year-old master carpenter has been managing director of Tischlerei Pühringer GmbH together with Klaus Pühringer since 2003. The boss knows exactly what makes the company so attractive: “Together we want to create something beautiful, get things done, have fun with colleagues, be proud of ourselves and our achievements, of course earn money and achieve our goals and inspire customers.” Something nice has also been achieved with the new showroom in Freistadt. “We have been a Josko partner for more than 40 years and the new exhibition center is the most modern between Prague and Andorf,” says Pühringer happily.

Learn with joy

Talking makes people happy, for example, was the motto of a workshop for the team at Pühringer’s Freistadt location. “The theoretical knowledge helps our team professionally and privately, the practical exercises were a lot of fun,” the company boss gives an insight into how team building works at Pühringer. He attaches particular importance to high product quality in the company: “We only work with well-known partners. Anyone who chooses a product from our range will enjoy it for many years,” Pühringer is convinced. You can particularly rely on the in-house assembly team.

son new successor?

Harald Pühringer is married to Iris. The couple have three children. Harald Pühringer is very happy that his youngest son Raphael has been with the company since August as a carpenter’s apprentice. “Maybe he’ll follow in my footsteps,” says Pühringer. He himself chose this path. “After his apprenticeship with his father Ernst, Harald passed his master’s examination in 1990 and took over the business in 2003.
