ESBF handball players take 3rd place in the league, farewell gift to their coach Raphaëlle Tervel

On Saturday May 29, at the Ghani Yalouz sports center in Besançon, the ESBF handball players did not disappoint their audience: victory against the Chambray Touraine team and third place in the season in the women’s handball league. A nice farewell gift to their coach, Raphaëlle Tervel.

It was the last game as a coach for Raphaëlle Tervel. And what a match! The players of l’ESBF ended the season of the women’s handball league on a high note. They offer themselves a victory at home (26 to 25) against the team of Chambray Touraine. A victory synonymous with third place in the women’s handball league, behind the Brest and Metz teams.

Raphaëlle Tervel finished this last ESBF match as a player, in the middle of her team: she entered the field during the last minutes of the match.

The best thing is to finish this incredible adventure on the podium, with a victory, in front of our audience, it’s a bit of a dream evening!

She then confided, at the microphone of France 3 Franche-Comté:

The later it is announced, the more difficult it is for the club to turn behind. I really want the club to keep moving forward. I thought it was important to say this early.
