Frankfurt The euro fell slightly in early trading on Friday. In the morning, the common currency cost around $ 1.18 after falling to $ 1.1787 during the night. The previous evening, the euro was still clearly above $ 1.18. The European Central Bank (ECB) had set the reference rate on Thursday afternoon at 1.1821 dollars.
Before the weekend, important economic data are on the agenda in the euro zone. The British research company Markit publishes its purchasing managers’ indices – a company survey that shows the state of economic development. In view of the increasingly tense corona situation, a deterioration in mood is expected.
