The 146th attempt was the correct one. Joachim B. Hansen wins his first success on the European Tour by signing a last lap in 67 (-4). With a total score of 265 (-19), the 30-year-old Dane is two strokes ahead of South African Wilco Nienaber, leader the day before. The match between the two men in this Joburg Open 2020 was played on the last two holes of the Rendpark Golf Club in Johannesburg with two bogeys conceded by Nienaber at 17 then 18 against two pars for the Scandinavian. The latter has also conceded only one bogey on its last 36 holes this weekend. Another South African golfer, Shaun Norris, completes the podium at -16 (268). With four cards in the 60s (68-68-69-68), Romain Wattel achieves an excellent performance and finishes eleventh at -11 (273). Antoine Rozner, the other Frenchman who crossed the cut, took the final twentieth place at -8 (276) with a solid final 68 (-3). The Racingman, who only missed two cuts in nineteen tournaments played in 2020, also advances in the Race. It now occupies 53rd place and therefore consolidates its presence in Dubai from December 10 to 13. Not bad for a first full year at the highest level!
